When in relaxed body form, you are able to manipulate your fingers to move up and down the fret-board while apply the pressure, which is required to produce the sound you want from a note.

For the amateur guitar players, is can be hurting to the fingers when a steel string is used for the first time while training on how to play the acoustic guitar notes. What you need to do is to begin by playing a guitar, which is mounted with nylon strings and then once you are used, you can successfully advance to the steel stringed acoustic guitar. This makes you be able to get accustomed to the steel string guitar more easily without punishing your hand.

Secondly, you need to know that there are mainly two ways in which you can learn how to play the acoustic guitar notes. You can learn by the fret and by the string. Although learning by the string can still equip you with the skills you need, it may be time consuming and may require you to do a lot of memorizing.

When you apply little pressure on the strings by placing your finger lightly on the string, you realize that the note doesn’t sound clearly. However when you apply a lot of pressure on the string as you hold the string down the fret-bars, you will notice how the sounds of the notes comes out more clearly and vibrates well. You therefore, need to know that the pressure you apply on the string determines the intensity as well as sharpness of the sound produced by the notes.

Moreover, when you learn the fret-board, you are able to have good skills since you can easily advance to play any kind of song you want. For example, when you strum the thinnest string, while holding your finger on the first fret, you play the note F. When you hold your finger on the first fret of the thinnest string on your acoustic guitar, you also play the note F. Therefore, you need to notice these similarities in your acoustic guitar notes. Moreover, when you place your finger on the first fret of the second thickest string while holding it on the fret bars it will play the note B-flat, which is also commonly known as the A#.
